Founded in 1968, the Starving Artists' Show is annually hosted on the Mount Mary University campus, the Sunday after Labor Day. It features local and national artists who work in pottery, fiber, photography, painting, sculpture, glass and more. All artwork sold is priced at $100 or less. Each artist is selected by a jury of experienced Mount Mary alumnae as the show is sponsored by the Mount Mary Alumnae Association. Admission proceeds support Mount Mary students.

Admission

Admission is $10. Children ages 12 and under are free. There are no advanced ticket sales. Cash and credit card are accepted at the entry gates.

Only service dogs are permitted into the show. No dogs or other pets are allowed.

Artwork Sales

All artwork sold is priced at $100 or less. Payment method is determined by the artist. Cash or/and credit cards may be accepted. Some artists charge sales tax.

Refreshments

Food and drink are available for purchase (cash only) on the show grounds.

Parking

There will be limited free parking on the Mount Mary grounds. Street parking is also available.

New Show Location 2021

We're excited to announce that this year's show will be located on the southeast corner of the Mount Mary campus, along Hadley Street.
